About Virginia Henderson
New Zealand author Virginia Henderson is a oral historian, researcher and producer. Based in Bangkok for 17 years, working in Asia and Africa with international development agencies and communities facilitating and documenting programmes and projects.  

During 2013-2017 she lived in Yangon, Myanamar, documenting the tangible and intangible heritage. 

Virginia is interested in cultural expression, the production of art and the power of storytelling. She lives on a farm in Wendon Valley, Waikaka, Southland and has a PhD in heritage management (Silpakorn University).
