Our QLDC Library Loyalty Card is a simple, feel‑good way to spark more reading this winter - no pressure, no race, just the joy of reading books at your own pace. 

Timeline 

1 July – 30 September 2026. Perfect for winter reading!  

How it works

  1. Pick up a card from your local QLDC library.
  2. Every time you finish reading a book, pop into a library to get your card stamped.
  3. Return your card to your local QLDC library by 30 September 2026 and be in with a chance to win a bookish prize.
  4. That’s it! 

Who can participate?  

Anyone over the age of 15.

Spot Prizes

There are chances to win spot prizes throughout the promotion by simply completing our Library Loyalty Card sign up form.

Bookish Prize

Returned library loyalty cards will be entered into a draw for a bookish prize. Think books, coffee, stickers, all that dreamy stuff. If your card has one stamp, you will get one entry into the draw. If you have two stamps, you will get two entries. If you have three stamps, you will get three entries. 

And yes, you can return your library loyalty card even if is not fully completed. And double yes, you can complete as many loyalty cards as you like!  

 

Library Loyalty Card – Terms & Conditions 

  • Loyalty cards can be stamped at any Queenstown Lakes District Council (QLDC) Library (Arrowtown, Frankton, Glenorchy, Kingston, Hāwea, Makarora, Queenstown, Wānaka)
  • You will receive one stamp for each book you have finished reading. You can get your stamp at your local QLDC Library. 
  • By completing the Library Loyalty Card sign up form, you’ll be in for a chance to win a spot prize 
  • Spot prizes will be available from 1 July to 30 September. 
  • By participating, you agree that your contact details will be added to a QLDC Libraries mailing list for Loyalty Card-related communications. You can request to be removed from this mailing list at any time.
  • Completed or partially completed loyalty cards must be returned to any QLDC Library by 30 September.
  • All returned cards will be entered into a draw to win a “bookish” prize.
  • Each completed stamp counts as one entry into the bookish prize draw (e.g. one, two, or three stamps = one, two, or three entries).
  • You can complete multiple loyalty cards. There is no limit. 
  • You must be a registered QLDC Library patron to be eligible to win the bookish prize.
  • The prize draw will take place in October 2026, after the promotion period has ended.
  • Prize winners will be contacted via email.
  • You must be 15+ years old to take part.
