When you registered as a library member using our online registration form, you will have been asked to enter a password/pin number for your library account.
This password/pin number is there to keep your library membership details safe and verify your membership when you use library services online. It's used when you want to access your library account via the website or the app. The same password/pin number is also used for your Libby or Borrowbox account.
We are often asked for help to remember or reset the password/pin for library accounts and/or Libby and Borrowbox.
We are happy to help you, but the safest way to reset your password/pin is to do it yourself without involving anyone else. This is to protect your privacy and keep your data secure.
It's easy to do and should take less than 5 minutes!
Follow these instructions to reset your password/pin:
Librarian's tip: Library staff cannot see your password/pin number in the system. We only see *****, so we can't even tell you the length of your password. This is for privacy and security reasons. If we did reset the password/pin for you, it's best practice to go into your account and reset the password again yourself by following the instructions in this post, so that your password remains private.
If you have any questions, please speak to a librarian. We're always happy to help troubleshoot and investigate any issues.
