Young artists across the district are invited to submit a drawing inspired by the cosmic wonders above.

Look to the stars for inspiration – whether above the Tāhuna Glenorchy Dark Sky Sanctuary, or the rising of Matariki – and let your creativity be guided by the galaxy.

Two winning artists will see their drawings transformed into a sculpture by artist Hazweld.

Known for their striking metalwork – including the Arthur’s Point Stag, the Country Lane Bull, and the Royalburn Station Falcon – Hazweld will bring the winning artwork to life as a sculpture.

Sculptures will be auctioned with proceeds going to KidsCan charity.
